  • Why Corporate Gadget insurance?

    This policy is exclusive to corporate electronic gadgets only, that is, electronic gadgets purchased by a company for use solely by the employee(s) of that company. Corporate Gadget Insurance is a new cost effective way for companies to protect the important every day gadgets that their employee(s) would be lost without.

  • What is covered under the policy?

    This policy covers the cost in replacing or repairing products as a result of Theft, Accidental Damage, and Liquid Damage. It also offers cover for fraudulent call use in the event that your phone is stolen. Loss Cover is available to add for an additional premium for Mobile Phones, smart watches, Tablets and Ipad’s. Please refer to the Corporate Gadget Insurance policy document for the full terms and conditions.

  • Am I covered outside Ireland?

    Cover is extended to include use of the electronic gadgets anywhere in the world up to a maximum of 180 days in total, in any single 12 month period, subject to repairs being carried out in the Republic of Ireland or the UK by repairers approved by us.

  • What products does GadgetInsurance.com cover?

    Eligible products are Camcorders, Mobile/Smart Phones, iPhones, IPods/MP3 players, IPads/Tablets, Sat Nav systems, Laptops, Digital Cameras, Hand-Held Games Consoles, Digital SLR lenses, E-book readers and Headphones.

  • Am I covered straight away?

    This policy does not cover any claim made, or any event causing the need for a claim to be made, that occurs within the first 7 days of the start date of the policy or the first 7 days of a new gadget being added to the policy where the electronic gadget has not been insured within 14 days of purchase. This also applies if you add loss cover after inception of the policy.

  • How do I add items or make a change to my policy?

  • Can I add loss cover to my Mobile Phone, Smart Watch, Ipad or Tablet at a later date?

    The policy will allow you to add loss cover to your Mobile Phone, Smart Watch, Ipad or Tablet at a later date. The policy does not cover any claim within the first 7 days from the date you add the loss cover on where the electronic gadget has not been insured within 14 days of purchase. This can be done by contacting us at [email protected] or on 0818 286 456 provided you have not made a claim.

  • Is loss cover available for other Gadgets as well?

    No not currently, loss cover is only offered on Mobile Phones, Smart Watchs, Ipad’s and Tablet's.

  • What does accidental loss cover include?

    If you selected the option to pay an additional premium and cover your mobile phone, smart watch, tablet or iPad for accidental loss, then if you lose your mobile phone, smart watch, tablet or iPad we will replace it. This cover is only operative if shown on your validation certificate and the additional premium has been paid.

    You will also be covered for fraudulent call use if you selected the option to insure your mobile phone for accidental loss; then if your mobile phone is lost and your claim accepted, upon receipt of your itemized bill we will reimburse fraudulent call costs up to the value of €10,000.

  • What are the main exclusions?

    You must be over 18 to purchase this policy.

    You must include the IMEI/serial number at the time of booking (or within 30 days of purchasing the policy at the latest).

    There is no cover for any claim, or any event causing the need for a claim to be made, that occurs within the first 7 days of the start date of the policy or the first 7 days of a new gadget being added to the policy where the electronic gadget has not been insured within 14 days of purchase.

    This policy is exclusive to corporate electronic gadgets only, that is, electronic gadgets purchased by the company named on the validation certificate and used solely by the employee(s) of that company.

    The gadget has to be under 12 months old and must have been purchased from new in the Republic of Ireland, UK or US for which you must be able to provide evidence of ownership.

    No cover is provided for wear and tear or gradual deterioration of performance.

  • How do I claim?

    To make a claim on this policy you will need to contact Davies Group Ltd on 0818 286 458 or email [email protected].

  • Is there an excess?

    Yes, there is a €50 excess on all claims. The excess must be paid in full before your claim can be approved.

  • What is the claims procedure?

    You notify Davies Group Ltd on 0818 286 458 as soon as possible but in any event within 48 hours of any incident likely to give rise to a claim under the insurance.

    You must report the theft or loss of any mobile phone, within 24 hours of discovery to your Airtime Provider and blacklist your handset.

    You must report the theft or accidental loss of any electronic gadgets to the Gardai within 48 hours of discovery and obtain a crime reference number in support of a theft claim and a lost property number in support of an accidental loss claim.

  • What documentation do I need to make a claim?

    In the event of a claim you will need to provide evidence of ownership. This can be a copy of your receipt, delivery note or confirmation from your network provider of the phone you in use on your contract.
    You may also be asked to provide evidence that your gadget has been used after the date you insured it.

  • Who is the policy arranged and underwritten by?

    This Gadget Insurance is arranged by Cover-More Blue Insurance Services Limited trading as Gadgetinsurance.com with Bastion Insurance Services Ltd. and underwritten by White Horse Insurance Ireland dac. White Horse Insurance Ireland dac is registered in Ireland No 306045.   • Does the replacement cover work on a new for old basis?

    This policy offers replacement only and is not a replacement as new policy. If the electronic gadgets cannot be replaced with identical electronic gadgets of the same age, colour and condition, we will replace it with one of comparable specification or the equivalent value taking into account the age and condition of the original electronic gadgets.

  • Can I cancel a policy I have bought?

    On the condition that no claims have been made or are pending you may cancel the insurance, without giving reason, by sending us written notice and returning the insurance documents within 14 days of it starting or (if later) within 14 days of you receiving the insurance documents.

    Cancellation after the withdrawal period:
    If you wish to cancel your policy after 14 days you can do so by calling GaddgetInsurance.com on 0818 286 456 or by emailing [email protected], allowing one months notice.

  • What charges do I incur when buying a policy?

    We do not charge any additional fee’s in the supply of your policy.

  • Can I take out cover for my personal phone?

  • Can I insure my phone if I do not have a receipt?

    When you make a claim, it will be necessary for you to provide an evidence of ownership in the company name as named on the validation certificate.

  • How many times can I claim on my policy in 12 month period?

    Policy covers unlimited replacements and unlimited repairs.
